Quality Assurance Technician - Del Monte Foods : Job Details

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for understanding the company's quality policy, principles of food safety and good manufacturing practices. This position is responsible for ensuring staff members are in compliance with applicable laws and policies by verifying products meet established standards set forth by the Quality Assurance Department. Accountabilities:Follow food safety and quality guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices and Hygiene standards. Conduct pre-operational inspections, ATP and environmental swabs. Ensure placement of overage product (in process) on QA hold. Calibrate QA equipment (hand held and thermometers) and Production scales. Check metal detectors, wash water for free chlorine, p. H and temperature, monitor water change over and check free chlorine on all wash waters, foot bath and hand dips.
