Job Description We are seeking a Quality Auditor - 3rd Shift for our Huntington, Indiana Plant. Essential Job Functions:

  • Examines company's records to secure such information as size and weight of product and results of quality tests.
  • Inspects products to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for compliance with requirements, and shipping and packing for conformity to specified standards.
  • Selects products for tests for the first part buy-off in production process.
  • Performs audits on the finishing process to determine compliance to specifications.
  • Submits samples of product to laboratory for testing as indicated by department procedures.
  • Authority to release product to the customer based on knowledge of the customer's specific requirements.
  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards on production process parameters
  • Able to perform all shop floor control point functions.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • At least one year of manufacturing or related experience.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications including Excel.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals; and understand oral and written instructions, and information gathered from meters, dials, calibrated scales, and visual display units. Ability to summarize verbal instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to follow instructions, in a logical order, given in oral, written, or diagram form.
  • Ability to apply quality standards against products and determine if defective and the degree of defect.
  • Ability to compile gathered information. Ability to solve practical problems with common sense.
  • Ability to continuously stand, frequently walk, and occasionally stoop, kneel and/or climb; to manipulate objects by hand, maintain a steady hand and physical balance, and use fine finger movements.
  • Ability to push or move heavy objects.
  • Ability to identify colors and make fine visual discrimination; ability to make fine judgments of texture.
  • Ability to remember verbal and written instructions over a period of a few minutes to several days
