Specializing in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence, Ontic has over 1,500 customers in the commercial, civil and defense aerospace markets. Centroid, Inc. is a defense electronics manufacturer with a 60-year history of solving some of the military's most difficult engineering and sourcing challenges. Our team is looking for a Quality & Compliance Manager to join them. You will report to the Centroid Site Lead and will have an onsite work structure in Plainview, NY. To be considered for the Quality & Compliance Manager opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (master's degree in engineering preferred)

• 10+ years of directly related experience with a minimum of two years of engineering leadership experience within the aerospace or defense industry.

• Experience planning and performing product verification and certification testing, including development of test requirements.

• Working knowledge of military technical specifications and documentation requirements.

• Experience with counterfeit parts protection requirements.

• Knowledge of government bids and proposals.

As a Quality & Compliance Manager, you will:

• Review Government solicitations and related technical data packages for feasibility to build and test.

• Write test reports, deviation requests, and technical specifications for products.

• Lead team in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.

• Improve engineering processes and procedures and ensure they are applied correctly.

• Develop detailed plans for new designs and products.

• Lead staff and delegate tasks to engineering and technical personnel.

• Conduct risk management.

• Present new business opportunities to potential customers.

• Manage parts obsolescence.

• Write Request for Variance (RFV) when parts used in assemblies are changed.

• Review older specifications and drawings.

• Complete costing for NRE material and time.

Salary Range:

• Up to $120,000 based on experience
