Job Description: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout our manufacturing processes. This position requires a keen understanding of job hazards, safety protocols, and quality control procedures. The role involves performing inspections, audits, and testing to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Essential Functions:
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Understand job hazards and apply all safety-related habits to support a safe work environment.
  • Inspections:
    • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections according to documented procedures.
    • Inspect tooling, fixtures, and molds prior to use in manufacturing.
  • Documentation and Process Oversight:
    • Read and review technical drawings and other documents of the production process to ensure adherence.
    • Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure process sheets are followed correctly and in the proper sequence.
    • Audit process sheets and other quality documents.
  • Non-Compliance Handling:
    • Place non-compliance stickers on any product or raw material that does not meet specifications.
    • Fill out reject tags, enter data on respective NC logs, and provide written information to Management.
  • Testing and Data Management:
    • Perform product-specific testing as instructed, such as first article inspections.
    • Record quality data in computer programs as required, organize data, and create charts.
    • Perform laboratory quality control testing according to documented procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Maintain laboratory and testing equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
    • Perform and record calibration tests on instruments, measuring devices, balances, temperature baths, etc., according to documented procedures.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Assist with other duties or responsibilities as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in quality control or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
  • Proficiency in using computer programs for data entry and analysis.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Familiarity with laboratory and testing equipment maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
