Shift times may vary, and extra hours may be added to your schedule to ensure we fulfill our commitments to customers.This is a Seasonal position until mid-June with potential to convert to a full-time regular position based on attendance, productivity and availability of positions.Peak Season (January - June) Requirements
  • Mandatory overtime may include some Saturdays and Sundays.

As the Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for upholding Varsity Spirit, LLC high manufacturing standards by ensuring our products meet quality expectations.WHAT YOU WILL DOEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Quality check each piece for accuracy based on provided guidelines. (total quantity, size, location, color, defect, stains, other design issues)
  • Perform computer functions to systematically quality check, transfer, and pack each order in the system, as well as ordering replacement units, screens, or transfers when needed by production.
  • If quality issues are found the QC will notify the department supervisor for replacement.
  • Ability to understand and follow production process required
  • Follow safe work practices including but not limited to proper use of machinery (identifying moving parts) and cleanliness (work area and machinery).
  • Readiness to perform other job functions or relocate to another department based on lack of workflow or departmental need.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Flexibility regarding work schedule based on workflow demand.
  • Assist other departments in maintaining quality.
QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Ability to maintain good attention to detail in English.
  • Ability to proofread well.
  • Ability to accurately proofread spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to file numerically.
  • Ability to accurately log information numerically without transposing numbers.
  • Ability to work all hours needed including overtime and weekends
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
  • to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Check covers and endsheets in pre-press prior to being plated
  • Checks PDF pages for customer quality-related issues prior to being plated
  • Inspects covers and endsheets immediately following press runs
  • Inspects press sheets immediately following press runs
  • Inspects materials run on UV coating equipment
  • Inspects sales representative samples prior to mailing
  • Places jobs on HOLD and follows up to aid in timely resolutions
  • Assists in maintaining accurate documentation on reworks.
