Objectives:Performing and reporting on routine and non-routine microbiological testing and environmental monitoring (EM) in support of aseptic manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:The Quality Control Analyst is expected to perform the following duties, as assigned:
- Ensure all work is performed and documented in accordance with existing company policies, procedures, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices, health and safety requirements.
- Perform method suitability and validation testing for the use of raw materials, finished products, stability samples and R&D products in support of method development and technical transfers.
- Attend and act as department SME for microbiological testing and method development.
- Support testing validations and protocols with technical execution and writing, including all controlled document changes as required.
- Support microbial trending for the facility.
- Perform OOS investigations and contribute to the preparation and review of environmental trend analysis on monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
- Maintain and analyse data in LIMS and performance of trend analysis and trend reports.
- Perform investigation in conjunction with laboratory OOT/OOS investigations.
- Work cross-functionally to determine CAPA and implement changes.
- Contribute to the scheduling and training of teammates to complete microbiological testing and support duties.
- Perform testing in support of facility Validation activities.
- Participate in identified projects as assigned by team leadership.
- Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by leadership.

- Read/Record all pertinent data on the appropriate forms or computer system in accordance with GDP and ALCOA principles.
- Order and maintain the supplies and inventory of laboratory stations as assigned, with adherence to 5S standards.
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or equivalent Life Science
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in a cGMP compliant industry
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to lift and/or carry 25 lbs
- Ability to achieve 20/20 correctable vision
- Ability to maintain proper personal hygiene
- Ability to wear laboratory PPE/attire
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management, including training and scheduling of team duties
- Ability to work well with others while delegating tasks and verifying the performance of other microbiology technicians
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work full-time, onsite, including overtime and weekends, if necessary, to meet department / site objectives
- Ability to understand and accurately comply with SOPs, test methods, and cGMP requirements
- Advanced communication skills (oral and written)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Strong organization skills / attention to detail
- Good work ethic (on time, highly motivated, etc.)
- SME level knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiological testing / environmental monitoring techniques
