- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control protocols and procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Lead and coordinate quality assurance activities, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and conduct training programs to enhance quality awareness and skills among manufacturing staff.
- This will include maintaining the control plan and FMEAs.
- Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on quality metrics and process performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- 3-5 years in quality control and assurance within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Proficient in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC, 8D, 5Why, 5S, Poke-yoke. etc.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive and sustain change.
Additional Qualifications:
- Prior experience in leading quality processes within the automotive industry, preferably a tier 1 supplier.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive quality standards such as ISO/TS 16949
- Experience in conducting internal/external audits and managing interdepartmental relationships.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with advanced quality concepts like APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and DFSR.
