Position Summary:
Support Advanced Quality Improvement department goals and objectives by coordinating, testing, and evaluating trial vehicles and parts related to the assigned systems in an automotive manufacturing environment. Complete Issue Investigations and provide feedback for overall vehicle design improvements.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate and track Engineering Order and Model Change testing activities with related departments.
- Participate in Benchmark activities of competitor vehicles.
- Gather data, test, and monitor New Projects in the Prototype stage.
- Evaluate vehicles and new technology at each stage of the New Model Process.
- Conduct Key Engineering Order trials, testing, and investigation activities.
- Participate in Complex Issue Investigations and develop recommended countermeasures.
- Create and present evaluation activity reports.
- Attend required meetings.
- Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management
- System (SMS) requirements.
- Meet all other requirements as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Engineering experience in a Manufacturing facility
- Allen Bradley, PLC experience
- Automotive manufacturing experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
Related Experience
- 0-10 years of job-related experience preferred
