Job Summary: Flowserve Chesapeake, a world class pump manufacturer, is adding to the team! Seeking a Quality Control Documentation Inspector to work closely with external/internal customers at our Chesapeake Virginia site. Assuring Quality documentation is provided in time to meet the contractual delivery date of customer projects. Position will require the capability to receive, manage, review accuracy and control of incoming Supplier and Internal Quality documents to compile Quality documentation submittal packages and process customer return Quality documentation as needed. Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain project related customer documents submittal packages that contain quality documents (internal and external).
  • Receive, process, and revise customer comments respective to Quality returned documents.
  • Standardize Quality documentation packages by maintaining existing library, creating new form templates as needed, and keeping a consistent look/layout across the various product lines.
  • Provide documentation support to Project Management by pro-actively managing customer Quality documentation schedule, to include initial submittal, milestones, and final documentation; assist as Quality representative during Project Kick-off meetings, Design reviews etc.
  • Prepare Project Quality Plans in collaboration with Project Manager and Engineering
  • Process and release Quality documents into a company Documentation Management System
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Verify and revise supplier documentation to be accurate before it is loaded in the System. To mention some examples; 3.1 material cert, 2.1, 2.2 Material Certificates, X-Rays, Non-Destructive and Destructive Tests.
  • Coordinate, process, and load in the system the Positive Material Identification, or PMI Process
  • Track and load in the system the documentation resulted from the Dye Penetrant test.
  • Load COC documentation and SM Addendum accuracy verification
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of similar experience
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, Adobe
  • Strong attention to detail, conscientious and thorough
  • Ability to articulate clearly (phone, in person, email, etc.) and relay requests efficiently
  • Must be self-motivated, accurate, focused, and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently
Preferred Experience / Skills:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Familiarity with an Industrial/Manufacturing environment
