Quality Control Engineer - Civil Engineering - ASAP Group, LLC : Job Details

Essential Job Functions: Under general supervision of a Project Manager, applies skills and knowledge to ensure civil engineering construction activities are performed in accordance to contracts, plans, and ASAP's specifications Performs inspection of civil engineering drawings and confirms each installation is marked on the project site. Tracks and documents each installation on clipboard to ensure that installation of product is completed. Measures distance of drilled holes and signals to equipment operator when ideal depth has been achieved. Enters daily progress in laptop each evening for PMs review. Completes documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection activities. Requirements Preference given to candidates who have a technical - college degree in Geology,Construction, Civil Engineering, Geoscience or Environment Science degree or 1 year ofexperience in a QC role within the construction industry. Knowledge of simple mathematics including algebra, geometry, Willingness to travel for a project two weeks at a time with a trip home every otherweekend. This job is for the road warrior who enjoys travel and field construction work. Reliable transportation, current auto insurance and valid driver's license required. Computer proficiency – Intermediate level and attention to detail expected to avoid errors incalculation and input into computer. Must have authorization to work within the U.S. Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodations) Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to fifty pounds on a frequent basis; prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing into equipment is required daily.
