Position OverviewThe Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of hot mix asphalt products through effective testing, analysis, and design. This role requires collaboration with production teams and adherence to industry standards to deliver high-quality asphalt for various construction projects.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular quality control tests on hot mix asphalt to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Develop and optimize hot mix asphalt designs to enhance performance and durability.
- Collaborate with production teams to monitor and maintain HMA quality during production.
- Perform laboratory tests on asphalt binder and aggregates to assess material properties.
- Analyze test results and prepare technical reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams regarding HMA mix design and quality control processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulations related to asphalt production and quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 Years of Experience Required.
- Experience in hot mix asphalt quality control and mix design.
- Certification as a QC technician is preferred.
- Knowledge of material science principles as they relate to asphalt and aggregates.
- Familiarity with HMA production processes and equipment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret laboratory test results.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
