Overview:

Quality Control Inspector 1st shift

Wallenius Wilhemsen is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to check workmanship and specifications at our Vehicle Processing Center. Work with multiple teams and vehicles to assure we have world class attention to detail going out our door!

Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday thru Friday

Job Description:

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Audit in-process procedures and final quality check on vehicles for compliance with established quality standards
  • Verify all vehicles VIN numbers and scheduled work for completion
  • Maintain quality control records according to company requirements
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all quality problems to management
  • Follow up on countermeasures to provide input to management that procedure is in place and being followed
  • Audit Rail and truck away procedures to customer's standards
  • Identify quality problems associated with vehicle and lead effort to construct and implement effective countermeasures to problems.
Job Requirements:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Quality control or Quality assurance experience and/or Mechanical experience
  • Complete understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, accessory, distribution, and body shop processes
  • Ability to identify quality problems associated with vehicles, and lead effort to construct and implement effective countermeasures to problems
  • Read and understand MCPS/SOP, SOS, suggest changes
  • Fexibility to quickly learn customer requirements concerning vehicle condition prior to shipment
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and hold items up to 50lbs
    • work outside in all weather conditions
  • Have a valid drivers license and good driving record
    • drive vehicles with manual and automatic transmission
  • Good communication skills, work collaboratively
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
  • Complete understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, accessory, distribution, and body shop processes

The pay or salary range listed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum projected rate of pay for the specific position across our United States locations. Equally as important, as a team member, individual earnings may consider knowledge, skills, abilities, work location and related factors. The current hourly range for this position is $20.00-$23.00 per hour. Wallenius Wilhelmsen team members are also eligible for annual merit-based salary adjustments, and participation in competitive benefit programs. Some roles in the company may offer an additional annual bonus. Additional details on salary or pay ranges and benefits will be available through the interview and employment process. Salary or pay ranges are separate from bonus opportunities and/or benefit plans.
