SUMMARY:
Responsible for checking quality, safety and security of product produced. Monitors Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Inspect equipment prior to use.
- Inspect product for quality and correct label.
- Collect product for testing as needed.
- Complete operation inspections as required and complete necessary paperwork.
- Verify and test the metal detector as required.
- Check temperature of inbound and outbound product as required.
- Complete deviation form if you notice a problem
- Audit Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point and product quality programs.
- Audit and maintain plant sanitation.
- Interact with employees, customers and guest in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Other job duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good Math skills
- Experience in handling electronic and manual tools such as calculators, measurement tools, etc.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must have use of all extremities
- Must be able to push and pull.
- Must be able to reach above the shoulders.
- Must be able to see.
- Must be able to identify colors.
- Must be able to hear.
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 20lbs.
- Must be able to bend and kneel repeatedly.
- Must be able to climb stairs.
- Must be able to work in temperatures below 0 degrees to normal daily temperatures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Cold and damp.
- Constant noise.
- Working with and/or around machines with moving parts and objects.
- Working with hands moving and packaging frozen food.
- Wear gloves as required.
- Machine vibrations.
- Working closely with others.
- Longer or irregular work hours.
