Job DetailsJob Location Copy Paper - Shreveport, LA Salary Range $18.00 - $19.00 Hourly DescriptionTitle: Quality Control InspectorDepartment: 1107 Copy PaperLocation: All DivisionsWage Category: Non-ExemptReport To: Director, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing AdministratorOverview: The Quality Control Inspector ensures products meet established quality standards by conducting inspections, identifying defects, and maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements. This role is crucial in ensuring product consistency, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Inspect all in-process production and finished products to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Remove products that do not meet production standards.
- Notify the appropriate supervisor and document inspection results, deviations, and non-conformities in reports.
- Perform final inspections on all orders before releasing them for shipment.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding material specifications.
- Maintain test report records for the required time.
- Adhere to and comply with the shipping requirements for customers that require special routing.
- Perform quality control inspections at different locations.
- Read, comprehend, and follow policies, processes, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Two years of line inspection experience is preferred.
- One year of quality control experience is preferred.
- Ability to operate a fax machine, copier, and product testing equipment.
- Ability to read a ruler and tape measurer.
- Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods with frequent bending and light to medium lifting.
- Ability to climb and move a safety rolling ladder.
- Must be able to understand and apply government contract specifications and inspection requirements.
- Must be able to withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures in warehouses.
- Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills/knowledge.
