Description: The Quality Control Manager will manage Packaging Concepts quality assurance programs to ensure production processes meet and exceed established quality, integrity, and efficiency standards. From raw materials to finished products, this role is pivotal in driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

As a Quality Control Manager your responsibilities shall include:

o Establish, lead, and manage quality control initiatives and corrective actions.

o Develop process improvement initiatives that enhance quality control processes, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs.

o Collaborate with production to ensure that quality processes and initiatives are implemented and followed.

o Develop and implement training plans to ensure that all employees understand and follow quality procedures.

o Communicate with customers regarding quality issues and ensure that corrective actions are communicated and completed in a timely manner.

o Ensure that manufacturing processes adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality expectations.

o Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve technical problems in production, reducing defects or production shortages.

o Manage technical projects within the manufacturing environment, including new production lines, production line modifications, or facility upgrades.

o Identify potential risks to production or technical operations and develop mitigation strategies.

o Ensure manufacturing operations comply with all relevant GMPs, food safety, HACCP, health, work safety, environmental, and industry regulations.

Education / Experience / Skills Required

o Bachelors in business management or engineering field.

o Experience managing a department and direct reports.

o 5+ years of technical experience in manufacturing

o ASQ Quality Engineer certification (CQE) or equivalent a major plus.

o Six sigma and/or Lean manufacturing experience a major plus.

o Possess advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.

o Demonstrated skills in organizing work, taking initiative, setting priorities and sound decision making.

o Strong Interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict management skills.

o Majority of time will be spent on the production floor.

Job Type: Full-time

  • Weekends as needed
