Quality Control - Production WorkerJob SummaryThe cabinet quality control person inspects cabinets before they are wrapped and loaded for shipping. Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Must be able to identify wood species.Must be able to identify stain/paint colors.Must be able to adhere the coordinating label to each cabinet.Must be able to push cabinets to the wrap area.Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.Must be willing to receive and accept frequent supervision and assistance about color matching/ wood species and overall cabinet quality.Requirement to assist with all areas of the area. QC helps with small repairs on cabinets along with completion of cabinets if needed to ensure shipping and quality needs are met.Must be able to communicate via written or verbal communication.Must follow all federal and state safety laws and guidelines.CompetenciesTeamwork OrientationTime ManagementPerformance ManagementResults DrivenSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles (dust), moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud; hearing protection is provided. Employee must wear required PPE. The employee works in a non-air-conditioned facility and is exposed to hot weather. Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is required to stand 8 hours per day, walk, bend, twist and reach. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee must frequently move cabinets to the wrap area, pushing 40 to 90 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must work without the influence of illicit drugs, alcohol or other intoxicating substances. Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position.
