At Gregorys, the only choice you'll have to make is what to order.Job Summary:As a Quality Control (QC) Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operational processes, cleanliness, food quality, and guest service all meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency. You will conduct regular audits, assessments, and inspections across multiple locations to ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Your work will directly support our commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining a strong brand reputation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Auditing & Inspections:
    • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled audits of stores to assess compliance with quality standards, operational procedures, and health & safety regulations.
    • Inspect product quality, including coffee, food items, and other beverages, ensuring they meet brand specifications and customer expectations.
    • Evaluate store cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance to ensure adherence to company cleanliness standards.
    • Verify proper storage, handling, and preparation practices for all ingredients and products.
  • Compliance Monitoring:
    • Ensure that stores comply with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
    • Monitor adherence to internal policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and providing corrective action recommendations.
    • Review product labeling, ingredients, and nutritional information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training and guidance to store staff on quality assurance practices, operational procedures, and safety standards.
    • Collaborate with store managers and team members to address quality issues, offering suggestions and improvements.
    • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs related to product consistency, food safety, and quality control.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Document audit findings and quality issues, creating detailed reports for management and ensuring proper follow-up actions are taken.
    • Maintain an organized database of audit results, trends, and performance metrics for analysis.
    • Prepare periodic reports on store performance and compliance, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Customer Experience Focus:
    • Monitor customer feedback and ensure any quality concerns raised by customers are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
    • Work with the customer service team to resolve issues related to product quality or service consistency.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, new quality assurance tools, and best practices to drive continuous improvement across all locations.
    • Assist in the development of quality assurance policies and procedures to keep up with changes in the market and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards, health regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies, deviations, or areas needing improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using audit tools, software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • A passion for coffee and food quality with a commitment to maintaining high standards of product excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in the coffee or hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) or related standards.
  • Knowledge of customer service and experience management.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to travel to various store locations regularly (local and, occasionally, regional travel may be required).
  • Transportation to travel throughout NY, NJ, CT.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around stores for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of supplies or equipment up to 30 pounds.
