Quality Control Supervisor - Confidential : Job Details

*Company information will be shared with qualified candidates. Company is part of a large privately owned company based in the United States. Position is for a plant with ~150 employees.

Manufacturing company located in Brooksville, FL is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a production environment and a four-year college degree.

Responsibilities:

• Performs all quality control tests are required per our PQP requirements.
• Trains personnel to perform proper sampling, raw material testing, and finished product testing as specified in the Pavestone QC manual.
• Trains personnel for appropriate action when specifications are not being met.
• Supervise quality control activity by other staff.
• Maintains laboratory equipment in proper working order and ensures that laboratory conditions are within standards.
• Ensures that all quality control requirements are fulfilled with the frequency as specified in the company PQP manual.
• Ensures that all logs and files related to the quality control function are legible, well -organized, and properly maintained.
• Evaluates quality data, regarding both finished product and raw materials, communicating trends to the Plant /General Manager and the Regional Quality Control Manager. Investigates causes and takes corrective action.
• Ensures that any non-conforming product is properly identified for a decision on disposition by the Plant/General Manager.
• Ensures that samples are sent to the company Quality Laboratory in Atlanta, GA as scheduled or as requested.
• Ensures that samples are retained as specified in the company PQP Manual, or as instructed.
• Always comply with all safety regulations.
• Responsible for housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor, including operation duties.

Qualifications:

• A four-year college degree in science or engineering is required
• Must have good analytical problem-solving skills.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to wear safety glasses, respirator, rubber gloves, and hearing protection in required situations.
• Must be able to work at elevation and in partially confined situations.
• Must be able to lift products, materials and equipment as necessary to perform the job.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision.
