About this Position:

The Quality Control Tech's core role and responsibility is to assure quality products to our final customer/ customer plants through suspect product containment and repair activity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and investigate quality defects to determine suspect range and confirm containment actions
  • Collect and analyze data related to our transmission plant manufacturing/ supplier quality concerns
  • Negotiate containment activity within transmission manufacturing areas and customer facilities
  • Perform functional analysis on Transmission assemblies; properly repair any concern items
  • Perform measurement analysis on Transmission components
  • Perform gauge calibrations

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 0-4 years of experience in a quality related role

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

Desired skills:

  • Positive attitude, open minded, and a team player
  • Ability to review technical data and make timely decisions to contain suspect product
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and decision making skills
  • Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a manufacturing environment

Additional Position Factors:

  • 50% office area; 10% laboratory area; 40% production areas
  • OT of ~ 4-8 hours per week
