We organize volunteer opportunities, company activities, and all-employee meetings to show we value our employees and the community around us!JOB SUMMARY: Performs Product Quality and Process Audits to assure compliance to Keytronic, Customer, and Regulatory requirements. Performs a variety of routine to complex technical inspections, testing, analysis and repair on customer returned products. Reviews FAI technical data to assure that it is complete and accordance to Keytronic and Regulatory requirements, and resolves the issues with Product Engineering, Supply Quality, Purchasing or directly with the Supplier. Depending upon the specific assigned area, some or all of these quality functions will apply.
  • Ability to complete first article inspection for first board SMT process
  • Ability to check solder and all other defects of SMT process as per IPC-A-610 standards
  • Provides feedback to engineers, operators and management for all issues if found out are not normal as part of Process Control & Qualification
  • Begins the process setting up the correct process inspection documents, screens, and/or workflow instructions for Electronics assembly, Complete Product assembly &/or Testing
  • Performs in-process and online go/no go inspections of various types of electronics, subassemblies, peripherals or a larger assembly, identifying defects according to workmanship standards like IPC- A-610 & IPC-J-001
  • Must be knowledgeable in reading electrical schematics and associated documentation such as BOMs, assembly drawings, Blueprints, and ECOs.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills, organizational ability and follow acceptable safety measures
  • Development of Quality Inspection instructions and sampling plans.
  • OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Ability to work as a Customer Focus Team member to resolve customer quality issues and drive improvement actions.
  • Ability to work as MRB team member and Resolve RMA issues as per customer specifications
  • Ability to perform process/product/systems audits to established policies, procedures and standards.
  • Ability to lead teams for product screening/sorting efforts while interacting with customer representatives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical issues verbally and/or in writing to customers or suppliers.
  • Reads diagrams, schematics, assembly drawings & technical manuals for diagnostic information to resolve quality issues
  • Performs tests and checks with electronic instruments such as CMM, meters, power supplies, ATE (automated test equipment) and computers
  • Experience with Root Cause analysis for PCBA (through hole and SMT) & complete Electronics Product issues as per priority with nominal resources
  • Understanding and experience with ERP & MRP systems
  • Collect and record quantitative and qualitative data
  • Perform failure analysis & Complete complex electronic reports as per customer demand
  • Apply multiple measuring techniques in the analysis of product
  • Complete forms and maintains files of collected failures to be used for proper failure analysis
  • Support both Manufacturing and Customers with sustaining technical activities related to both new and existing products
  • Performs other duties when required that are outside of normal job duties.
  • May be asked to assist in other duties to ensure production needs are met in a timely manner.
SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED: This position receives supervision from the Quality Manager and this position has no supervisory responsibilities. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years' experience in electronics assembly manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate a computer and use word processing, spreadsheet, power point and database software efficiently
  • Must be able to analyze data and create graphs.
  • Must know manufacturing processes, test and repair codes.
  • Must be able to organize and maintain files and records.
  • Must be willing to travel to support customer/inter-company quality issues, production startups or product transfers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 5-year experience in electronics assembly & product qualification
  • Minimum 5 year of experience with IPC-A-610 Work Environment
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning tools such as control plans, pfmea, gr&r, CpK and Part submission warrants.
  • Experienced in managing multiple priorities for quality control
  • Practical experience in upholding basic sustaining IQA, MRB & RMA responsibilities
  • Practical experience in the manufacture of product, including SMT and Complete product assembly with test
  • Experience in contract manufacturing
