Job Description :
GEA Group is seeking a Quality Control Technician II to inspect, test, and certify Pressure Relief Valves in compliance with GEA and ASME standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of materials, parts, and finished products through precise inspection, testing, and adherence to established procedures. This role also involves supporting continuous improvement efforts and the development of level one quality control technicians.

Responsibilities / Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, test, and certify Pressure Relief Valves according to GEA and ASME requirements.
  • Inspect incoming materials and parts to ensure compliance with inspection procedures.
  • Assist with the disposition of nonconforming purchased parts and materials.
  • Collaborate in investigating field complaints and production problems related to purchased parts and materials.
  • Support the maintenance of the calibration program for gauges, meters, and miscellaneous parts to support accredited Quality Systems.
  • Prepare ASME Traveler Packages and perform electrical panel final inspections.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure they are followed by production and inspected correctly.
  • Report issues, errors, and non-conforming parts that may affect GEA products, and document findings in the GEA SQDIP program for continuous improvement.
  • Provide support to continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist in training and developing level one quality control technicians.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Profile and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of related experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Skills:
  • Experience with blueprints and diagrams.
  • Background in Quality Control with knowledge of non-destructive testing methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Desired Attributes:
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Familiarity with ASME and industry standards.
