VPE's technology has multiple applications including satellite components, microchannel heat exchangers, mandible reconstruction, and flight safety devices. There is never a dull day at VPE. Pay Range: $25-35/hour

Summary: Collects and maintains documented information to support product configuration, manufacturing processes, test results and traceability to demonstrate conformance to specified requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compiles and manages documented information to ensure accuracy, quality and integrity.
  • Organize data packages and generate Certificates of Conformance; verification of required evidence, including material test reports, supplier certifications, proper traceability, completion of VPE process steps and functional testing
  • Contact appropriate parties to resolve any issues encountered
  • Assist MRB team with nonconforming product as needed
  • Gather and report related KPI data (i.e. braze defects)
  • Coordinate with Equipment Maintenance to review and file records (i.e. TUS, SAT for specified equipment)
  • Adhere to document and record retention policies; maintain confidentiality of documented information.
  • Assist with Engineering Change Orders and training for specified program; collaborate with other departments as needed
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and communicate customer specific requirements relating to product quality of designated program
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Computer Skills:

Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Access. Daily record keeping according to company policies.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Phone and e-mail communication skills, file organization skills and use of standard office equipment.

Other Qualifications:

Basic Understanding of ISO 9000 or AS9100 Standard.

Experience with NADCAP processes highly desired.
