We offer 100% vertical integration capabilities such as end-to-end engineering, manufacturing, and in-house logistics.We're proud of our Tier 1 supplier legacy for manufacturing propulsion-agnostic, structural automotive components, and assemblies around the globe.To help us drive excellence, as a Quality Engineer, you'll get to:•Support the Company's mission, vision and values in performance of daily activities, performs research, design and development for quality processes and controls.•Evaluates designs, drawings, project plans, specifications and other documents.•Provides support and guidance for the Process Sign Off Books, and job books (for manufacturing).•Work in conjunction with engineering; coordinate the PPAP (Product Part Approval Process) for new programs, program moves, engineering changes and process improvements.•Analyze SPC data for process improvement, corrective actions and other activities.•Initiate, facilitate and participate in cross-functional teams in pursuit of problem solving and mistake proofing quality problems.•Drive implementation of a progressive quality system to prevent defects and meet or exceed customer expectation.•Directs colleagues engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.•Assist the plants in providing training and support for the Quality Technicians and manufacturing colleagues, including gage training.•Ensure effective containment actions are in place to protect customers when a quality issue is identifiedThis full-time role is a part of our Quality Team and reports to the Quality Manager Required education & experience:•Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent industrial design experience. •Minimum three (3) years of related technical, hands on experience.Required Skills & Abilities•Large & medium metal stamping and assembly background.•Knowledge of resistance and MIG welding processes.•Familiar with GD&T.•Solid working knowledge of PPAP processes.•A.S.Q.C. certified quality engineer preferred.Working conditions:•We'll provide position-specific details including physical and focused efforts, working environment and conditions, and reasonable accommodations during the interview process.Where you'll be:This position is located at our location in Elkton, MI offering many community events, resources, programs, and recreational opportunities for you and your family.Why you'll enjoy working here:•Competitive Wages and Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with Company contribution match, and 15 paid holidays, including a bridge holiday in December and a generous referral bonus policy!!•Work-Life Balance: Many of our Associates have stayed with us for 25+ years!
