Job Description :

The Quality Engineer will work with Operations, Product Engineering, and Program Management to define, monitor, test and report on the quality of products. The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of our products and procedures through rigorous inspections, implementation of quality control measures, and identification of areas for improvement. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to building high-quality satellite antenna and systems that exceed customer expectations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Monitor the entire production cycle and report on malfunctions
  • Determine quality metrics for manufacturing procedures
  • Audit systems based on ISO 9001:2015 requirements
  • Update Quality Management System (QMS) with non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Identify the root of technical issues and recommend solutions by working with internal and external vendors.
  • Prepare and post quality reports, charts, and Quality Alerts. Set detailed guidelines on what needs to be checked and define quality standards.
  • Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvements.
  • Inspect product materials and electrical systems for defects and durability.
  • Review current blueprints and quality documentation. Recommend changes to Engineering (ECR)Monitor production process for Quality Objectives.
  • Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies
  • In-depth understanding of technical documentation
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and reporting information using MS Office products.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Good analytical skills
  • Team spirit Required

Education/Experience

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
  • Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus

Physical Demands

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for computer/data entry work
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Bend, lift overhead Occasional use of ladder

Travel

Ability to travel for supplier qualification and follow up audits (estimate < 10% travel)
