Job Description :

An aerospace and dense manufacturing company is seeking highly skilled Quality Engineers and Quality Managers to join their team in Columbus, MS. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in quality assurance, with specific expertise in military and aerospace fabrication, electrical/electronics, and/or machining processes. These positions offer the opportunity to work on high-precision projects within a growing, innovative organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quality procedures aligned with customer requirements and process specifications.
  • Create and manage sampling plans using statistical methods to ensure product consistency.
  • Identify measurable quality improvement plans and implement strategies to achieve them.
  • Prepare detailed reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; make recommendations for improvement.
  • Review customer and engineering drawings to identify key characteristics and critical items.
  • Conduct internal audits and lead readiness efforts for external audits.
  • Lead root cause analyses and implement preventive actions to address identified issues.
  • Maintain and prepare quality records to meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Collaborate, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance quality awareness and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee supplier performance, conduct supplier quality audits, and drive supplier development initiatives.
  • Provide support to Quality Inspectors to ensure adherence to processes and procedures.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in quality engineering, preferably in aerospace and defense industries.
  • Proficiency in AS9102 First Article Inspection standards.
  • Hands-on experience with military/aerospace electrical/electronics systems, including wire harnesses and electronic assemblies.
  • Familiarity with machining and GD&T principles.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality management certifications, including AS9100 and NADCAP.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with inspection standards, including IPC-620/WHMA-A-620C and J-STD-001.

Preferred Skills

  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by 22 U.S.C. § 6010.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $95,000–$115,000
