Quality Engineer - Magna International : Job Details

The Quality Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Quality Management System (QMS) documentation. They identify relevant statistical methods to determine quality improvement parameters for manufacturing processes and establish statistical confidence by determining sample sizes, acceptable error, and confidence levels. They also ensure statistical reliability using techniques such as mean time before failure, Weibull 3-parameter distribution, reliability modeling, and reliability demonstration tests. The Quality Engineer leads cross-functional teams to develop Corrective and Preventive Actions for customers, suppliers, and production. They create and maintain quality process inspection instructions, reports, and quality alerts, and participate in the preparation and maintenance of these documents.
