Quality Engineer - Round-Peg Solutions (RPS) : Job Details

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

• Participate in design reviews, ensure alignment with customer requirements, and define quality and inspection criteria.
• Develop inspection plans (receiving, in-process, assembly, final), and determine special gauging requirements.
• Conduct internal audits of the quality system and facilitate customer and AS9100 audits.
• Investigate hardware non-conformance, perform trend analysis on product issues, and support corrective actions
• Oversee supplier quality (purchase orders, ratings, corrective actions), and develop quality plans.
• Manage customer quality issues, write technical procedures and acceptance test plans, and coordinate First Article Inspections (AS9102).

Quality Engineer experience and qualifications required:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical or similar)
• Knowledge of quality tools and systems, especially root cause/corrective action methodologies such as 8D, DFMEA / PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Six-Sigma etc.
• Exposure to mechanical and/or electrical inspection techniques with a strong background in blueprint and drawing interpretation
• Thorough understanding of AS9100/AS9102 quality systems.
• Outgoing, dynamic personality that can “win hearts and minds” in your pursuit of continuous improvement
• Auditor training would be beneficial but not essential
