About Our ClientOur client is a family owned metal stamping manufacturer located in the Southern Suburbs of Chicago. Their customer base is predominantly in the automotive industry. They work with customers like Bosh, Tusco and other local molders in the Chicagoland area. The role will be responsible for customer communication, root cause/corrective action, submitting PPAPs and assisting in IATF internal audits. As mentioned, this is a family owned organization has experience consistent growth over the last 30 years and truly values work life balance for their employees.
Job DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the entire PPAP process
- Preparing and conducting internal IATF 16949 audtis
- Working directly with customers to discuss reports and non-conformances
- Lead corrective actions through Root Cause Analysis methods
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- PFMEAs

The Successful ApplicantA successful quality assuance engineer will look like:
- 5+ years of experience in a quality manufacturing setting
- Background with automotive manufacturing and the standards assocaited
- Knowledge of IATF 16949
- Experience with leading or assiting with internal audits
- Strong experience with PPAPs
- Strong Root Cause and Corrective Action experience.
- Experience with PFMEA
- GD&T Experience
