Required Education and Experience for Quality Improvement Specialist
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an applicable human services, public or health administration, health information management or related areas.
- Considerable experience with medical records, quality assurance/improvement, utilization management. Prefer specific training in healthcare quality management and health information technologies.

Provides audit results and note trending of identified areas of non-compliance where applicable.Provide support/education to program area staff on regulatory requirements and best practice for clinical documentation where applicable. Track and trend incidents (Level I, II, III and care concerns), report findings to appropriate committee and enter qualifying incident data into state systems. Conduct root cause analysis along with enhanced root cause analysis when warranted. Conduct or participate in Human rights investigations.Assist with review, development and design of clinical workflows with-in the EHR system to ensure compliance and create the most user-friendly experiences possible. Assist with EHR forms/reports design/development as needed and data queries necessary to support the operational and programmatic needs of the organization.Candidates who are offered a position must undergo a background check, including social services review, and drug screen.
