SCHEDULE: 1st shift Monday through Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM POSITION SUMMARY: Monitor, measure, test, and record data to determine if product meets customer's specifications. Responsible for all incoming, start-up, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product meets specifications including required documentation. Work with production personnel to resolve quality discrepancies and ensure acceptable product.   • Utilizes engineering drawings, gauges, comparator, vision system, microscopes, templates, and other inspection equipment/aids to ensure all product meets the customer specifications.
  • Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product.
  • Records all quality data and notes into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.
  • Good documentation, record keeping, and communication is required for all personnel.
  • Notifies the appropriate personnel if product defects and/or process problems are identified or if product rejects exceed acceptable levels.
  • Provides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified.
  • Works closely with and monitors machine/lead operators to ensure product meets quality criteria.
  • Determines and answers questions as to product acceptability.
  • Must be able to relate to other employees beyond giving and receiving instructions. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback in a professional manner.
  • Sorts and Reworks: Sorting and/or reworking product that does not conform to the customer requirements. Properly documents and labels to identify the status of non-conforming product. Sampling and gaging of reject product may also be required.
  • Responsible for keeping areas neat and clean, follow restriction/rules of fire protection, safety, and environmental issues.
  • Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.
  • Proper handling of all material, parts, and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.
  • MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Education: High School diploma, equivalent or trade school graduate and/or minimum experience.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience within a Quality related environment.
  • LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: None
  • OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of equipment. Basic ability to read prints and use measuring equipment along with basic math skills.
