The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the products being produced meet quality standards and specifications. The inspector will review products and material, measure objects compared to their physical specifications, run quality test and identify defects. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Examine raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet specified criteria.
- Perform visual inspections, measurements and various tests to identify defects or deviations from standards.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and non-conforming products.
- Report defects to relevant personnel.
- Communicate with production, engineering and management to provide feedback on quality issues and collaborate on solutions.
- Train production workers on quality standards and inspection techniques.
- Conduct final inspection to ensure products meet all quality standards.
- Cross train in production to fill in gaps
Qualifications - Education/Experience:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- J-Standard certified preferred
- 1 year of quality inspector experience in a manufacturing environment minimum
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, drop gauges, and measuring microscope
- Experience with GD&T a plus
- able to read drawings/specifications and be able to interpret requirements
Knowledge/Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
