Position Description

This position is responsible for using a wide variety of precision measuring equipment to perform visual and mechanical inspection of critical tolerances of machined parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies and completed units.

Essential Functions

* Checks tolerance and performs visual inspection of machined parts, subassemblies and completed units using a variety of tools and gauges.

* Verifies each step in the process is completed and recorded properly.

* Uses test equipment and gauges following engineering instructions.

* Summarize, file, and maintain records and parts traceability.

Required Experience

* Must have a High School Diploma or GED (1 year of relevant course work at a technical/vocation program preferred).

* Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical inspection process or machining/assembling processes in manufacturing.

* Must be able to understand basic math calculations.

* Must have basic understanding of how to read/interpret blueprints.

* Must have the ability to verify threaded holes, hole size, and other geometric features.

* Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available
