The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of inspection and quality control operations of a visual, dimensional, and functional nature, making necessary critical observations, tests, or competing appropriate documentation as required. In addition, perform a mechanical inspection on precision machined parts, and create non-conformance reports for all parts that do not meet specifications. As well as supporting engineers, machinists, and all employees to ensure products are made to print. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform inspections of components.
- Perform source inspections at facilities.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
- Review inspection records received for compliance.
- Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
- Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) for nonconforming parts.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all Company and HSE policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform In the process, final, and receiving inspection, and work with inspectors and manufacturing employees in other inspection areas. Inspections are made against drawings, specifications, and/or instructions. Accountable for product/process incoming and/or final inspection activities required for purchased and manufactured parts, respectively, and processes.
- Responsible for the proper care of all company tools and measuring equipment before, during, and after use
- Ensure that all gages are in calibration, clean, and free of rust, as well as in good working conditions always before use and traceable to/from their assigned storage location.
- Ensure that all records are kept accurately updated according to established procedures •Identify discrepancies and prepare non-conformity reports.
- Observe safety regulations, wear all required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately, or report them to supervisors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFACATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- A minimum of 5 years of QC experience in a manufacturing environment, required.
- Dimensional and visual inspection experience required.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Advance knowledge of GD&T or certification is required.
- Superior working knowledge of mechanical inspection tools
- NDT certification is a plus.
- Mastery of Blueprint reading
Preferred Experience:
- Dimensional and visual inspection: 3 years (Preferred)
- GD&T and NDT: 2 years (Preferred)
