Quality Inspector - Schuette Metals : Job Details

Typical schedule: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM Friday. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Daily job is to preform inspection of painted parts using various paint measuring equipment to customer specifications (Thickness Meter, Gloss Meter, Pencil Hardness, Solvent Rub, ACT panels, etc.)
• Record daily inspection results on electronic forms, charts and report results of conforming and non-conforming parts thru electronic DMR system.
• Perform assigned routine chemical titration tests on the paint wash system.
• Communicate status of finished product to Manufacturing Engineer and Focus Factory Manager
• Participate in Root Cause/Corrective Action investigations
• Assist Manufacturing Engineer, Project Manager and Focus Factory Manager with disposition of non-conforming product
• Complete Appearance Approval Reports and Paint Certification forms.
• Perform monitoring/operation of wash system, turning on and off stages as needed.
• Perform cleaning/maintenance of wash system
• Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with paint inspection preferred
• Ability to read customer and Company provided blueprints. Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
• Other: Must be accurate, organized, detail-orientated and dependable with the ability to demonstrate integrity and ingenuity. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
