Job Summary: A quality inspector monitors the quality of incoming and outgoing products or materials. Supervisory Responsibilities: Implement internal quality processes. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping. Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations. Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services. Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications. Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control. Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records. Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence. Supervise the production process. Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner. Perform internal audits. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Must be a U.S. citizen.Preferred Skills/Certifications: Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments Experience with operating a forklift Experience in US Army Quality functions Education and Experience: Minimum of four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
