Position Summary: The Quality Inspector inspects a range of components, parts and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance Instructions. Identifies moderately difficult quality issues in design, process or other inefficiencies to meet quality requirements. Essential Responsibilities May Include: Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components, and receivables at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards Performs visual inspections of molded components, mechanical inspections of mechanical assemblies, sub assemblies, and incoming goods. Receives incoming goods against purchase orders and provides paperwork validation to support conformity of receivables. Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling Conducts Internal audits and corrective action follow-ups Program the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)/Romer Arm to effectively measure different products Qualifications and Education: High School diploma/GED is required 5 years of relevant experience preferably in an AS9100 environment Composites manufacturing experience a big plus Must possess strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills and be able to work effectively across all areas of the business. Computer literacy is a must, including full proficiency in the use of the entire Microsoft Office Suite, big plus for Sharepoint and Access Skills: Ability to follow established work instructions and procedures with minimal supervision Able to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issues Skilled at measuring and using test equipment; Calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc. Capable of following instructions and applying processes and procedures to standard routine tasks Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches Proficient computer skills Perform basic dimensional inspection of parts produced Other Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the US. Must be able to pass a drug screen. Lifting and bending will be required Candidates must be able to pass pulmonary test and are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Why should you want to work with us?
