Job Summary:The Quality Inspector inspects the workmanship of protective garments and accessories for defects in cutting, sewing, and finishing.Essential Functions:
Inspection of Materials and Products:- Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.
- Use measuring tools and equipment to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Conduct visual inspections and functional tests to evaluate quality.
Documentation and Reporting:- Record inspection results and maintain detailed reports of findings.
- Document any quality issues, or discrepancies,
Compliance and Standards:- Ensure products meet company standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications.
- Review and understand quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance.
Continuous Improvement:- Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and best practices.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on quality standards and industry developments.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to multi-task and meet production goals.
- Ability to read a ruler
Physical Requirements:
- Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another.
- Moderate Carrying: Physically carrying items weighing 15 to 44 pounds.
- Usage of Hands: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm.
- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with fingers (including thumb) and palm.
- Light Lifting: Raising objects under 15 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another.
- Moderate Lifting: Lifting objects between 15 to 44 pounds.
- Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for sustained periods of time.
- Standing: Eight-ten hours at a time.
- Visual Requirements: Ability to read computer screen and job cards (i.e. ability to read/see PC screens, detect color coding, read fine-print and/or standard-size print.

- Communicates with Supervisors, Line Leads, management staff, Sewing Operators, Quality Inspectors, and other team members. May occasionally encounter customers, suppliers and corporate staff.
