WAGO Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to assist the Quality Department in performing inspections on incoming and outgoing products under direct but limited supervision. The Quality Inspector will inspect assembled and unassembled circuit boards to specs and verify electronic components, inspect third party catalog parts and custom specific items per the requirements outlined on WAGO drawings.WAGO offers a dynamic culture, competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, company-paid insurance plans-life, AD&D, short-term disability and long-term disability, and a retirement 401k plan.Experience & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years of manufacturing or quality experience preferred
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and consistently follow drawings, engineering specifications, customer specifications, quality standards, and procedures
  • Knowledge of IPC-600 and IPC-610 specification
  • Prior experience with calipers, micrometers, fluke meter, pin gauges, and microscopes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect assemblies visually and/or with inspection equipment to IPC-610 standards. Understand and accurately interpret all applicable IPC standards. Inspect unassembled circuit boards to IPC-600 using a microscope
  • Interpret company and customer drawings and inspect product using calipers, micrometers, fluke meter, and pin gauges
  • Assist with the development and initiate standards and methods of inspection, testing, and evaluation
  • Comply with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) guidelines at all times
  • Maintain records in the Calibration Database and facilitate on-time calibration
  • Report out monthly performance on assigned metrics and actions to address gaps
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the customers, manufacturing processes, and Quality System processes companywide. This includes following procedures, work instructions, completing all related documentation, and maintaining accurate records
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the External Document Control process, including IPC standards, J-STD, and additional external origin documents
  • Follow established product handling procedures consistently
  • Initiate corrective and preventive actions within the company. Issue corrective actions to our suppliers when defective product is found
  • Assist in the investigation of customer complaints
  • Participate as an internal auditor for the ISO program
