Summary The Quality Inspector works directly with the Chief Inspector/Quality Manager to ensure aircraft are supported at San Luis Obispo (KSBP) and in the field. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality control process is followed on all assigned projects to ensure all work meets the highest quality standards. These activities must be done while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with ACI Jet's employees, vendors, and clients. Available hours must be flexible for on-call work, including nights and weekends. The hourly pay rate for this position is negotiable, based on experience. Reports To The Quality Inspector - KSBP reports directly to the Chief Inspector/Quality Manager. Requirements RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management):
Monitor and ensure the proper execution of the quality control process as outlined in the Repair Station and Quality Control Manual. - Determine articles submitted for repairs are within the Repair Station authorizations.
- Build work order packets for maintenance events.
- Monitor maintenance by completing in-process inspections.
- Make airworthiness determinations based on interpretation of FARs, ADs, SBs, Maintenance Manuals, and related information.
- Perform Final Inspections.
- Return aircraft to service.
- Generate required maintenance event records and distribute appropriately.
- Complete administrative processing of work order documents.
2. Technical Publications
- Source all needed maintenance data.
- Ensure maintenance data is available and current.
- Monitor and ensure applicable and current data is being used.
3. Tooling
- Ensure all necessary specialized tooling is available when needed.
- Ensure proper tools are used.
- Ensure serviceability of tools being used.

- Participate and promote the company SQMS system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
- A passion for aviation.
- At least one to five years of inspection duties at a Part 145 Repair Station or equivalent.
- Work experience must include troubleshooting, use of specialized tools, ground support equipment, and the use of aircraft maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, technical reports, and forms.
- Professional appearance.
- Troubleshooting skills and an ability to problem solve.
- Critical time management and logistical problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality of work.
- On-call and after-hours support is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid A&P License.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance.
- Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, with the ability to multi-task.
- Must be computer proficient (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance Software, Google Docs, Google Sheets).
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, kneel, squat, and stand for extended periods.
- Must be available to be on-call.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
