The hourly rate for this position is $19.52/hr or more based on experience plus shift diff of $0.75. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do: You will conduct a variety of predefined and ad hoc investigative test, inspections and audit procedures to assure that the product and its component parts conform to engineering and customer specifications. Safety: Responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with JSA's, wearing proper PPE, complying with the production attire policy, and assuring that the work cell has safe equipment and no risk is placed on their coworkers or themselves. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to supervisor or manager. General cleaning of shop areas and personal 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibility. In this function you will: Ensure compliance with all safety, quality and housekeeping practices and company policies and procedures. Work under general supervision/direction, with limited instructions, and able to make decision on the most practical and efficient methods needed to complete work. Inspect (incoming, in-process, and/or first article) components and/or assemblies visually and dimensionally for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications, and supplier/customer requirements. Inspection involves using precision measurement equipment such as, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread plugs, thread ring gages, thread gages, surface plates, spring tester, profilimeter, surface plate, and CMM using PC-DMIS Software. Produces necessary manual or computer-generated inspection reports to accept or reject products. Coordinates the disposition of customer returns, in cooperation with Warranty Services. Ensure that inspection and quality measuring devices used throughout the qualification, manufacturing and assembly processes are maintained, calibrated and traceable to the appropriate standard. Inspectors pull drawings, isolate the part defect and notify engineers, drafters, buyers, coordinators, supervisors, etc. Verify assembly and MOV work completion to the specification and performs layered process audits (LPA) as well as audits against engineering specifications (test parameters or OMS instructions) Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualification: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum of 1 year in manufacturing experience governed by an ISO Quality System Certification Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Olean, NY will be considered. Active-Duty Military member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Position Criteria: High degree of knowledge in tools and connector construction, quality requirements and quality control methods and procedures Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with other functional areas Experience in machining, assembly, or similar manufacturing processes governed by an ISO Quality System certification Proven ability to read and interpret blue prints and be proficient in geometric dimension and tolerance Ability to give close attention to detail Operate a computer with reasonable speed and high accuracy. Excel and Word Physically able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations, including exerting the force necessary to continuously lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 lbs up to 40% of the workday Have good visual acuity and wear PPE.
