Job Title: Quality Lab TechnicianJob DescriptionThis client is a global leading supplier of magnet wire. Magnet wire coating is applying a coat of electrically insulating varnish or enamel to aluminum or copper wire used in electrical machinery. The wire is usually coated in large plants that both draw and insulate it and then sell it to electrical equipment manufacturers. The individual in this role will be a part of the magnet wire testing laboratory.Responsibilities:Complete quality tests of magnet wire for quality specifications, investigation, design proposals, R&D, improvement, performance, etc.Complete testing on QA and experimental runs, action requests, sample orders, etc.Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, lubricants, etc.Perform inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products to assure adherence to specification.Perform a range of tests of such complexity that attention to detail is imperative.Read, understand, and use detailed instructions; perform testing; enter data, present data, prepare reports or charts to report test results.Use chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments.Assist technicians, engineers, and management to analyze, solve and correct problems.Use computer programs, quality systems, and tools. The person in this position is highly involved in the quality management system.Follow all procedures, methods, and guidelines to assure quality, safety, and production goals are met.Enter records or write up data for company reports.Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to give and receive information while maintaining positive working relationships.Hard SkillsExperience working within a quality (QA or QC) lab roleLab experienceGMP experienceUse of chemical testing equipment and measuring instrumentsProficiency with computer programs and quality systemsWork Environment3rd shift | 2-2-3 Schedule | 8pm-8amTraining on 1st shift M-F 8am-4pm for first 4 weeksClimate controlled quality laboratoryAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
