POSITION SUMMARY:

This role involves developing and implementing robust quality management systems, overseeing supplier quality, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and effectively managing project quality. The individual will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal product quality, customer satisfaction, and on-time project delivery. As OEM designer and manufacturer with over 400k part numbers and 120+ years of history, ensuring repetitive processes throughout the supply chain is critical to success.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the Quality System including ISO9001 implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and support project execution.
  • Project Quality: Responsible for engineered equipment inspection program including adherence to best practice design principles and fabrication quality. Will require travel to supplier locations.
  • Parts Quality: Drive improvement with suppliers by establishing documented requirements, closed loop corrective action processes based on formal 8D style approaches.
  • Other tasks within the operation team not specifically defined above.
  • Ability to learn and adopt current cultural development initiatives and practice consistently.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in engineering, supply chain, or quality management
  • Proven experience in quality and project management within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of quality management systems and project management methodologies. Expertise in supplier quality qualification, auditing, and development.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Competencies & Certification

  • ASQ Certification preferred, ISO9001 Auditor
  • High-level proficiency in problem-solving and root cause determination
  • Interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Computer Proficiency: All Office 365 elements, ERP
  • Extensive experience in developing and conducting training and development

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or stand for prolonged periods in an office or field setting.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Ability to effectively work prioritizing in a highly demanding environment.
