Quality ManagerWe are searching for an experienced Quality Manager at our Plant 12 Fremont, IN facility.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Dexter, the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets has an opportunity for a Quality Manager at our manufacturing facility located in Fremont, Indiana.Headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, Dexter employs over 3,800 people throughout the U.S. and Canada, operates 20 manufacturing facilities, and distributes trailer parts and accessories through over 50 company-owned distribution locations. The Quality Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for administering and building upon the established quality systems and quality culture.Responsibilities:Advise on provisions to minimize quality issuesDevelop and implement required quality documents.Perform regular process audits.Drive root cause and corrective actions - Must own and lead the quality process.Work with Engineering and Production to address any internal quality concerns and corrective actions.Prioritize quality improvement activities.Utilize quality improvement training, activities, and policies.Manage all documentation and reporting requirements for the quality system.Develop performance improvement targets for quality.Conduct customer surveys to solicit feedback.Perform statistical analysis and data analysis.Perform gage calibration, product testing, and maintain records.Participate in quality audits.Demonstrates hands on mechanical capabilities, problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building skills in productive team environment.Develop reports of product conformance.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or associate Degree in relevant field including Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or comparable discipline.5+ years of Quality experience; or an equivalent in combination of education and experience.Qualified candidate will have experience in manufacturing operations, assembly, and test suspension products.Experience working in organizational culture that employs Six Sigma, Toyota Production System, Kaizen, or other lean manufacturing methodologies.
