The Quality Manager will oversee and manage the quality assurance processes and ensure that products meet both internal and external standards before reaching the customer. The Quality Manager will also lead a team of quality inspectors, engineers, and technicians, and collaborate closely with production teams to ensure continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and product quality. Drive initiatives for process improvements and root cause analysis to reduce defects, improve product consistency, and lower costs. Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement to ensure alignment on quality standards and operational objectives. Establish and maintain supplier quality standards, work with suppliers to resolve quality issues, and lead supplier audits when necessary. Investigate product defects and non-conformances, implement corrective and preventive actions, and maintain records of all quality incidents. Provide training, guidance, and leadership to quality control staff. Foster a culture of quality and accountability across the organization. Generate and analyze quality metrics and reports for senior management, making recommendations for improvement based on data. Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (ISO, OSHA, etc.), and prepare for internal and external audits. Address customer complaints related to product quality, lead root cause analysis, and ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues quickly and effectively. Who You Are: Knowledge of manufacturing operations and techniques. 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.Knowledge of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems. Working knowledge of fabrication (welding, fabrication, press brake, etc.) Can read blueprints. Available to work overtime as required. Unified Defense is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
