We are actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Manager to join and grow in the PPG organization. We are seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented individual to support our growing production department. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background with emphasis on quality standards, process control, process auditing, and machining.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Collect and evaluate data, create reports and indicate deviations from existing standards
- Recommend modification existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal quality within the limits of equipment capabilities
- Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by monitoring, reviewing, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Trains and motivates employees to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Prepare graphs or charts after data is entered into the computer for analysis
- Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection
- Review incoming purchase orders for quality requirements, communicate requirements to appropriate business unit(s)
- Develop and implement quality plans for new parts
- Identify and eliminate obstacles to manufacturing flow
- Operate and collaborate as a team member with manufacturing and engineering
- Internal quality process audits daily
- Resolve internal and external quality issues including but not limited to SCARs, complaints, and non-conformances
- Conduct training once quality issues have been resolved explaining what the quality issue was, how it was fixed, and how to avoid quality issues in the future
- Collaborate with quality managers at all locations to prepare for annual certification audits including but not limited to AS9100D and NADCAP
- This position will require direct interaction with customers both virtual and in person
- This is a key position when it comes to continuous improvements. This needs to be recommended, implemented, and measured as it pertains to quality.
- 2 or 4 year degree in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering preferred
- Minimum 7 years of quality experience in a leadership role
- Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Training in general safety, F.O.D. awareness
- This person must have the ability to develop an inspection plan from start to finish based on the customers requirement and prove the inspection plan is effective.
- Documented experience in but not limited to; FAI, PPAP, Source inspection.
Compensation
- Compensation for this role is negotiable and based upon industry specific experience.
