Description The Power global practice at Burns & McDonnell provides a multidisciplinary approach to power solutions from project financing, siting and permitting to turnkey construction and startup. Our experience covers the full breadth of power generation technologies from gas turbines to solar, batteries, hydrogen, carbon capture and nuclear plant services. The Burns & McDonnell Kansas City, MO office is seeking to hire a Quality Manager responsible for the management and development of quality initiatives within Power Global Practice. Responsibilities to include: Responsible for the effective development and implementation of policies, procedures, work instructions, and guidelines to ensure successful project execution. Support projects from proposal to closeout with problem-solving, standardized guidelines, quality programs, and procedures, staff development, quality, and continuous improvement tools. Assure proper implementation of the Quality Management System. Coordinate, monitor, and implement training programs related to quality. Identifies and manages continual improvement initiatives related to quality. Establishes measures that indicate performance of the organization against the requirements of the quality program. Reports on the performance of the organization against the requirements of the quality program to leadership. Conduct ISO 9001 and project performance-based audits. Conduct root cause analysis. Manages knowledge capture methodologies, including the Cause Analysis & Corrective Action program, including tracking of nonconformances and record keeping. Develops strategic plans relating to quality in alignment with leadership goals. Act on behalf of the Power Global Practice in matters related to Corporate Quality initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related/relevant field or technical field with minimum 1 year quality assurance experience or related role. Or Associates degree in a related/relevant field or technical field with minimum 3 years quality assurance experience or related role Or minimum 7 years quality assurance experience or related role. ISO 9001 experience preferred. Competency in facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage. Excellent planning and analytical skills. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees and management.
