Position Overview
The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire an Executive II to serve as Quality Operations Coordinator for the Madden Mental Health Center located in Hines, Illinois to plan, develop, coordinate and implement the facility's Policy Manual Review Program. Works with various disciplines in the development and implementation of the Madden Policy Manual System. Assists the Quality Manager in risk management activities.
Essential Functions
* Serves as Quality Operations Coordinator for the Madden Mental Health Center.
* Coordinates with Staff Development the review of individual records.
* Assists the Quality Manger with TJC and other regulatory group compliance measures.
* Serves as the Chairperson for the DEI committee as well as is a member of other assigned hospital committees (ex: Clinical Programs, Quality Council, Health and Safety, Risk Management, Health Information Management, TJC Chapter Holder) and attends meetings.
* Monitors and evaluates the staff and Consumer Surveys.
* Monitors and reviews reports and outcome measure reports for the Joint Commission, National Research Institute and any other regulatory entities.
* Responsible for the facility's quarterly newsletter.
* Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
* Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
* Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
Specialized Skills
* Of the two (2) years of responsible administrative experience, requires one (1) year of experience conducting searches of policies, procedures and rules of standards and guidelines for verification of consistency utilizing Excel, Microsoft and Acrobat Computer Software.
Preferred Qualifications
* Three (3) years of professional experience in developing, maintaining and managing quality assurance methods and processes by determining objectives, setting specifications and assessing results.
* Three (3) years of professional experience analyzing quality assurance data, developing response training, corrective action and follow-up.
* Three (3) years of professional experience meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail and the ability to utilize critical thinking skills while multi-tasking multiple projects.
* Five (5) years of professional experience in a public or private organization maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.
* Three (3) years of professional experience performing quality assurance assessment.
* Three (3) years of professional experience communicating with both internal and external stakeholders in oral and written form.
* One (1) year of experience conducting searches of policies, procedures and rules of standards and guidelines for verification of consistency utilizing Excel, Microsoft and Acrobat Computer Software.
Conditions of Employment
* Requires the ability to operate commonly used manual and automated office equipment, systems and software and perform routine maintenance.
* Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
* Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
