As a Quality Production Specialist, you will support the release of finished product and ensure compliance with Industrialized Building Codes.

In this role you will:

* Responsible for administrating the Industrialized Buildings Program to ensure compliance to various state requirements.

* Manages and maintains quality documents related to the final release of products.

* Acts as a liaison between Production, Engineering, Project Management, and Test in the resolution of release criteria.

* Ensures documentation requirements are met according to Operating Procedures, Project Gates, and ISO standards.

* Reviews detailed drawings for shelters, cabinets, or racks including the following drawing types: plan views, elevations, electrical power / signal / communication wiring diagrams, utility piping and tubing schematics, sample conditioning system flow schematics, detailed sample probe drawings, alarm system (relay or PLC) detailed wiring diagrams, and fabrication drawings.

* Initiates training for production employees with regards to quality.

* Provide technical support for issues related to Analytic products, solutions, and production.

* Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities related to product, processes, and quality system.

* Track and prepare monthly reports for internal quality performance metrics.

* Participates in formulating quality standards, policies, programs, plans, procedures, and practices.

* Performs and guides others in deploying and improving quality discipline and culture.

* Drive Continuous Improvement in quality performance through utilization of tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, 8D Methodology and Lean Manufacturing. Maintain and Analyze Key Performance Indicators and Cost of Quality data to identify recurring trends and drive improvement actions to reduce internal and external failure costs.

Expectations:

The incumbent must meet these requirements:

* 5-7 years' Experience in Quality-related position in a manufacturing environment.

* It is required for the candidate to have worked with a manufacturer of analytical equipment or analyzer system integrator for 5+ years.

* AS Degree in Engineering Design or Technology or BS Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent.

* High level of proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

* Ability to interpret technical part drawings and specifications.

* Previous work experience in an ISO 9001 certified company.

* Ability to interpret electrical controls and distribution wiring schematics.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with results driven approach.

* Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.

* Experience with electrical wiring standards, methods, and testing.

* The candidate should have the following general system design knowledge: Understanding of electrical equipment including panelboards, transformers, circuit breakers, lighting, receptacles, disconnect switches.

* Working knowledge of analytical systems integration including analyzer shelters and sample conditioning systems. Working knowledge of codes / standards: NEC, IEC, API, NFPA

* Understanding of hazardous area classifications.

To be successful in this role, you must be electro-mechanically inclined, self-guided, and have a strong work ethic.

This position requires a valid driver's license. Position is located in Houston, TX. Relocation will not be offered for candidates interested in this role.
