This position will ensure that only the highest quality Chapin products reach our customers. Functioning under the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Tech will ensure the quality of components, sub-assemblies and finished products through inspection and functional testing in a high-volume light manufacturing environment. The Quality Tech will assist the shift supervisor with day-to-day production activities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Diligently follow quality management system procedures and instructions as required Participate as member of cross functional team as required Provide a high level of communication with all QA personnel Troubleshooting and resolution of quality issues Assist with quality metrics reporting Train production personnel as required Quality Assurance ambassador Quality alert communication Record and enter inspection data into spreadsheets/intranet Requirements:AAS technical degree or higher preferred Minimum 2 years related quality assurance experience Must be willing to obtain CQI certification within one year of hire Excellent communication skills Strong work ethic with the ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision Proficient with inspection measuring instruments Strong Microsoft Office skills Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule:8 hour shift Night shift Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience:Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
