Full job description {#full-job-description tabindex= -1 }*Job Summary: * The Quality Technician is responsible for verifying quality checks and maintaining records for parts produced within the facility.Job Responsibilities:Verify machinist are conducting required inspections.Aide in maintaining quality systems.Perform first piece layout.Maintain all records of OVL checks.Random audits of all departments for compliance to the control plan.Collect and analyze statistical data from SPC charts.Aid in training of proper gauging techniques and quality systems.Help establish and maintain company Quality Plan.Maintain SPC charts.Notify Quality Manager of any problems.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. May perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications/Education:High School Diploma or equivalent GED2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.Understanding of Quality Systems preferred.Knowledge and understanding of measurement techniques using calipers, micrometers, and go/no gages.Ability to use problem solving techniques.Usage of IT Tools including MS Office, Excel, and other computer systems.Working Conditions:Manufacturing plant shop environmentExposure to moving mechanical parts.Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.
